The brown color covers the entire body (inside and out). It is epoxy primer which is waterproof, not specifically corrosion protection, although it does serve as such. It is very durable and does not shrink or peel as laquer primer does. The only problem is the difficulty in sanding becauseit's pretty hard stuff. I was going to use it, but it was hard to find 15 years ago. It is probably more difficult to find now because of EPA regulations.
